From The Quintet's fabled concert and recording in 1953 known as "the greatest jazz concert ever"—featuring altoist Charlie Parker, trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, pianist Bud Powell, bassist Charles Mingus, and drummer Max Roach —through to the Grammy Award winning Directions In Music project in 2001, artists and audiences return for the memorable memorable music on our historic stage.
