The charismatic Nova Scotian by way of Toronto Old Man Luedecke is young in body but old in spirit—and style. A two-time Juno Award winner for Roots and Traditional Album of the Year, he recently packed up his banjo and headed to Nashville to lay down tracks for his new album, Tender is the Night, out this fall. A singularly thoughtful performer, Luedecke is a welcome offshoot of a tradition that includes Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger.
