Gabriela Martinez, piano

Roy Thomson Hall presents

For Gabriela Martinez, it’s all in the family. A fifth-generation pianist, the elegant Venezuelan began her studies with her mother, making her orchestral debut at the age of seven. Now 28, she has gone on to build an impressive list of credits that includes degrees from Julliard, and a string of international recital, concerto and chamber music performances. This concert, which features pieces by Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, Szymanowski and a series of commissioned works, marks her first Toronto appearance.
