Toronto roots-rockers The Heartbroken were born out of a wine-fuelled evening among friends, a fitting beginning for a band whose first album, 2010’s Tonight, Tonight, is an alternately rollicking and pensive take on the vagaries of life and love. The group calls upon the vocal prowess of Damhnait Doyle (Shaye) and veteran musicianship of drummer/vocalist Blake Manning, guitarist Stuart Cameron and bassist Peter Fusco (Jim Cuddy Band, Ron Sexsmith and Sarah Slean, among others).

The Heartbroken will debut new material from their yet to be recorded sophomore album - including the song “Going to Hell” which they premiered on our blog.
