Earth Hour 2008 was an extension of our efforts to provide a leading example of best practices in reducing energy consumption. In September 2007 Roy Thomson Hall was awarded the highly coveted “Go Green” certification by The Building and Owners Managers Association (BOMA). This certification represents our achievement in environmental responsibility in all aspects of building management and operations.

There are 42 Go Green buildings in the GTA, and 83 Go Green Plus in the GTA for a total of 135.  Roy Thomson Hall is the first performing arts facility in Ontario to receive this distinction.
