The official unveiling of Roy Thomson Hall’s donor lounge, the last major component of the Hall’s $24 million Enhancement Project, took place on March 25, 2004.
The Lexus Lounge is dedicated to the use of members of Roy Thomson Hall’s Marquee Club and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s Maestro’s Club and serves to recognize the generous and ongoing support of the friends and benefactors who help support the Hall’s diverse programming and educational activities.
During all ticketed performances, the Lounge will be a comfortable and private rendez-vous for pre-concert and intermission refreshments for members and their guests.
The Lexus Lounge is conveniently located off the main Lobby, just to the left of the Simcoe Street Front Doors, and can accommodate a capacity of 135 people within the elegance of its 1,600 square feet of usable reception space.
The décor of the Lounge reinforces the auditorium’s interior, with the warm tones of sandblasted maple interspersed with the sleekness of ebony. The curved wood walls have a backdrop of sandblasted concrete and the glass portals to the lobby and street add sensuality to this elegant space.
The Lounge is wheelchair accessible from the street level and lobby areas and there are three unisex washrooms, one of which is also wheelchair accessible. There is also a self-serve coatroom.
